Jhade Barnes
President
Hello Sunnymead Ranch Neighbors,
I’m Jhade Barnes, and it’s an honor to step into the role of HOA Board President. My wife and I have loved living here in Moreno Valley, and like you, I want Sunnymead Ranch to be more than just an address — I want it to be the kind of place we’re proud to come home to.
First, thank you. Thank you to the homeowners who’ve already reached out with ideas, concerns, and encouragement, and thank you to the board members and volunteers who keep things running behind the scenes. I’m walking into this with a lot of respect for the work that’s been done and a lot of energy for what we can do next.

My focus is pretty simple:
- Make it fun to live here. Whether it’s sprucing up common areas, bringing back community events, or finding small ways to make daily life easier, I want Sunnymead Ranch to feel alive and welcoming.
- Be transparent: You deserve to know what’s being decided, why, and how HOA funds are being used. Expect clear updates in this newsletter and at meetings — and expect me to be direct.
- Build community: The strongest neighborhoods happen when people know each other. I’ll be working with the board to create more chances to connect — not just over complaints, but over barbecues, yard sales, and shared projects.
We’ve got a great community here already. Let’s keep making it better — together.
Warmly,
Jhade Barnes

Merrill Nunally
Treasurer
Hello Residents of Sunnymead Ranch PCA:
I am Merrill Nunally. I am pleased and grateful for this opportunity to serve the community and uplift the Association. I have lived in the Association for over 23 years. I am a retired Lieutenant Commander with the United States Navy. I also worked for the State of California with the Employment Development Department for 31 years, and for three years with a state department that was once called the Board of Equalization.
Gratitude and Commitment
First of all, I want to thank the voters who supported the current Board of Directors and me. We want to earn your trust and confidence through our actions and transparency. My hope, along with this Board, is to bring back the fun and sense of community in a positive way. There will be things we won’t be able to change; however, for the things we can, with help from the other Board members, we hope to make a positive move.
Community Vision
My desire is to have this community positively reflect the residents in this community through:
- Their involvement in improvement through suggestions.
- Finding ways to involve the residents in more community events.
- Encouraging suggestions for improvement for the association.
- Celebrating and publicly honoring members within the community.
Working Together
Like the other Board members, I don’t have all the answers, but with community-wide positive involvement, we hope to improve this community and make it one that more people will want to move to.
We have a great start, and things can only get better with everyone’s involvement.
